With over 20 years at U of T’s Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education, I led the development and delivery of fitness, dance, sport, yoga & meditation programs across multiple facilities including the Athletic Centre, Golding Centre for High Performance Sport, & Varsity Centre.
In this leadership role, I:
- Designed & implemented large-scale innovative programs
- Presented trainings & workshops for diverse populations
- Managed and mentored a team of 50+ staff
- Oversaw recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training & evaluation
- Improved the accessibility of movement & wellness programs
I’ve received multiple awards for innovation, leadership, and contributions to community wellbeing, including the Excellence Through Innovation Award (3X), Stepping Up Award, Accessibility Award, and a Student Service Award.
My academic background includes a Master of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education University of Toronto with my research published on the roles of physical activity & health in enhancing student engagement. My Bachelor of Physical & Health Education is from U of T’s Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education.
My extensive experience as an educator & presenter, along with over 1,000 hours of certifications to teach fitness, dance, martial arts, yoga, mindfulness, meditation, Pilates & fusion also support the depth, embodiment, and experiential nature of my work.
