For 20+ years Jill provided leadership at the U of T Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education developing fitness, dance, sport, yoga & meditation programs, delivering trainings & workshops, teaching classes and managing 50+ staff including recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training, mentoring & coaching. She planned, implemented, evaluated and assessed a variety of programs across the Faculty’s facilities including the Athletic Centre, Goldring Centre for High Performance Sport, & Varsity Centre.
 
Jill received multiple awards for wellness initiatives as the Assistant Manager of Fitness & Instruction with Sport & Rec and during her Community Health Coordinator secondment with Student Life. A three-time recipient of the Excellence Through Innovation Award, she also received the Stepping Up Award, an Accessibility Award, a Student Service Award, and recognition for U of T True Blue Service & Citizenship. As a student, she received the Gwendolyn Peacher Dance Award and a Student Leadership Award.
 
Jill’s Master of Education is from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto Department of Leadership, Higher & Adult Ed. with her research paper published on The Roles of Physical Activity & Health in Enhancing Student Engagement: Implications for Leadership in Post Secondary Education. Her Bachelor of Physical & Health Education is from U of T’s Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education.
 
She also completed the Rose Patten Mentorship Program, fitness leadership certifications, yoga teacher certifications 500 hrs, meditation & mindfulness teacher certification, Oxygen Yoga & Fitness teacher certifications, Pilates & barre teacher certifications, trainer & coaching certifications, & the Applied Mindfulness Meditation Certificate Program through U of T School of Continuing Studies
