My approach is experiential & engaging-blending movement, reflection & practical strategies so people don’t just learn about wellness, they feel it & can apply it in real time.

With over 20 years at the University of Toronto Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education, I led the development and delivery of fitness, dance, sport, Pilates, yoga, meditation & mindfulness programs across the Faculty’s multiple facilities from the Athletic Centre to Golding Centre for High Performance Sport.
 
In this leadership role, I:
  • Designed & implemented innovative movement programs
  • Presented wellness trainings & workshops 
  • Managed and mentored a team of 50+ staff
  • Oversaw recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training & evaluation
I’ve received multiple awards for innovation, leadership & wellness initiatives, including the Excellence Through Innovation Award (3X), Stepping Up Award, Accessibility Award, and a Student Service Award.
 
My Master of Education is from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto Department of Leadership, Higher & Adult Ed. with my research published on the roles of physical activity & health in enhancing student engagement. My Bachelor of Physical & Health Education is from U of T’s Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Ed. I also completed the Applied Mindfulness Meditation Certificate Program through U of T School of Continuing Studies.
 
My extensive experience as a presenter & educator, along with my MEd & BPHE from U of T and teaching certifications in fusion fitness, Pilates, yoga, meditation & mindfulness, all support the depth, embodiment, and experiential nature of my work.
